After a review of the American Revolution, students will focus on expansion, industrialization, social movements, wars, and figures that have made the America great. Class Description: This class will take your students on a weekly adventure into the lives of some of the most influential historical figures. We will study men and women who helped shape America. Your students will hear stories of bravery, determination, and perseverance. Students will create a Historical Figures Journal where they will draw and write each week. The skill level of the students will vary. You will be amazed to see their progress from the 1st week to the last!

Class Description: Let's dive into the American Girl historical fiction books to explore 1764 with Kaya and 1774 with Felicity! In class, we'll reflect, narrate, expound on the history and do a girly, FUN, and hands on craft or activity! Approximately two chapters are read for homework each week with weekly writing prompts for extension.  The books can be read aloud and assistance can be given with writing.  New books will be read every year!

US GEOGRAPHY

Class Description:  Let’s learn all about our wonderful country by exploring the 5 regions of the US. We will cover one region every month; geography and climate, political boundaries and capitals, tourist/physical destinations, history, food, and culture. Then, students will create a personalized 3D map and travel book.

WORLD HISTORY

Class Description: We will learn World History from the age of exploration to the present day from a Biblical Worldview. There will be required reading as well as notetaking and comprehension questions and a weekly online quiz to be done at home. There is also an online test every 4 weeks.  Additional assignments will be required for 8th grade students and up.  Grades will be given for the assignments, tests, and quizzes.  Lecture, discussion, presentations, & activities will be done in class.  ** This is a 3 year series, but students can join at any time. **
