A Homeschool Enrichment Program in Oconee County, GA
The Instructors at Generations set us apart as an exceptional place for student learning. Many are former educators in public and private schools, or they are experts in their field of study.

Amanda Bucha After earning my art degree at UGA, I had the opportunity to study at Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts and The Art Institute of Chicago. I spent about a decade as a working artist, creating and exhibiting my work before transitioning into the textile industry. When my first child was a baby my heart ached to homeschool. Everyday, I thank God for making a way and for the blessing of this journey. Sharing my love of art with my children and our homeschool community has been such a rewarding joy.
Ashlee Cave Hello! I am teaching private piano lessons this year at Generations. I have been teaching piano for 20 years now and have my degree from Bob Jones University in Piano Pedagogy. I enjoy playing piano at my church on a regular basis and teaching my girls at home in addition to homeschooling them! This will be my second year teaching at Generations and I am looking forward to it!
Jordan Crumbley I am very excited to be an instructor at Generations for the second year. I was a teacher in Clarke county for 3 years before staying home to take care of my three children. My husband Daniel and I live in Clarke county with our three children, Lydia(5), Abbie(3), and Ezra(2). Daniel is in construction locally and we attend Beech Haven in Athens. I look forward to teaching Girls Bible study again this year, and I cannot wait to work on math with our middle school students.
Liz Frye My family has been part of this homeschool community since 2021. My husband, Michael, and I have 4 children; Scarlett (9), JT (9), Rosie (5) and Sam (3). My husband serves on staff at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Watkinsville. We have been homeschooling since 2020. Before homeschooling, I taught elementary school for 7 years in Clarke County. At Generations, I teach a literacy class for PK through 2nd grades called Literature Links.
Amy Higgins Curiosity is my middle name! I just love to learn more about "Why" and "How" - concerning everything God made!!! Over the past 18 years, I've taught many students in homeschool enrichment programs. You name it - we've done it! From volcanoes and laws of motion to electromagnets and ears! I've been married to Brad for 31 years. We have 2 children and 3 grandchildren with one on the way! I homeschooled my children for 12 years and they were some of the best days of my life! I like to go camping and read a good mystery book and I walk and exercise on a regular basis. I LOVE tending to my flowers and exploring the amazing things God made outside in my yard! I'm a follower of Christ and I received salvation on Mother's Day 1996. Since then, Jesus has been shaping me into someone new - to be more like Him. I strive to point others to Him in the way I teach and live life every day.
Chris Langley I live in Monroe with my wife, Kristin, who also teaches at Generations, and our four children. Prior to teaching at Generations, I was a high school history teacher, basketball coach and trainer, and camp director. I have a passion for the Lord and helping children learn to love Jesus as well. At Generations, I have the pleasure of teaching Biblical Manhood, PE, and World HIstory. Biblical Manhood is a class I created myself to help young boys learn about who God made them to be. The boys earn badges as they memorize scripture, the Books of the Bible, and more while also doing weekly activities from building, to lawn maintenance, manners, and values, In PE, we work on team sports and skills through fun games and activities. We learn that God intended our bodies to be active, while rewarding good sportsmanship. World History is a middle and high school 3 year course that teaches the history of the world from creation to the present through a Biblical worldview. We also learn note taking skills and do weekly readings and online quizzes and tests from home.
Kristin Langley I have 4 children & my wonderful husband, "Mr. Chris," also teaches at Generations. Before having children & homeschooling, I was a high school math teacher at a public school. I am truly honored to teach Gameschool, Liberty Girls & Intermediate Math Games. Liberty Girls is a joy to teach as I have learned American History right along with the girls while doing such fun crafts & activities. Because the books change each year, I have the privilege of forming sweet bonds with the girls year after year. Math Games is equally rewarding! I think math is so much fun and I enjoy being able to transfer a bit of my enthusiasm for the subject to the kids through games and challenges, while also seeing impressive improvements through the year. My family and I truly cherish the Generations community, which feels like a second home.
Julianne Mauldin I will be a sophmore at Generations during the 25-26 school year. I've been homeschooled since first grade. My favorite hobby is swimming competitivley. I love to read historical fiction and fantasy. When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a Disney princess when I grew up, and not much has changed over the years! I still love to dress up for birthday parties and make little girls feel loved and cherished. Little Ladies will be a gentle way to start the day together. We will study art, music, poetry, and learn scripture. I'll share my dress up box of accessories and teach the girls about manners and etiquette. We'll enjoy a cup of tea or lemonade as we learn how to be little ladies.
Sara McElroy I was raised in Oconee County and graduated from Oconee County High in 2011. Now I'm a homeschool mom of two boys. I'm blessed to be an instructor for two of my biggest passions; cooking and Jiu-Jitsu. Before becoming a stay at home mom, I worked in some of the best kitchens in Athens and ran a catering business. My family discovered Jiu-Jitsu 6 years ago. My boys, who are now 7 and 9 years old, both started training by age 3. I earned my blue belt this past year and assist in coaching the kids program at our gym. I look forward to continuing to share my knowledge of both these hobbies and passions with the community at Generations.
Suzanne McDaniel I love guiding children in learning and helping them make new friendships. I began teaching in 2008 in Barrow County and then Columbia County, mainly 1st and 2nd grade. When our twins were born I stayed home and we have been homeschooling since PreK. I have been married to my husband, Thomas for 20 years and our boys Charlie and Clay are 11. We love camping and finding adventure outside. We have been a part of Generations for three years and I have taught for two of those. I adore teaching PreK-3rd grade and I hope your family finds a home with us at Generations.
Marie Nimmons My husband, Allen, and I have been married for 18 years. We have been blessed with 6 children ranging from 3 to 15. Our family has been homeschooling since the beginning. Before homeschooling, I was a middle school science teacher & basketball coach. However, I have taught history and math as well. I have a bachelor’s degree in middle grades education with a master’s degree in educational leadership. I have been fortunate to teach in many different settings and genuinely love learning new things. Whether I am teaching Farm to Table, Astronomy, Historical Figures, or GA History, they are all subject matters that I enjoy. My goal in class is to bring enthusiasm for learning to my students so that they can grow to appreciate all that the Lord has created and done! I am thrilled to be at Generations and so are my kids!
Ashlee Sikes I have taught since 2002, with 12 years in public schools & the rest as a homeschool mom and homeschool resource teacher. I have my Masters & Education Specialist Degree, with certification for grades K-8. I’ve graduated one homeschool kiddo from our crew, and he went on to complete a year of college before entering ministry full time. My next one is Class of 2026, planning to attend his top choice university for journalism. My daughters are entering 6th and 5th grades. I began teaching IEW & STEM classes for Summit Academy in 2014.I took a few years off teaching outside of our home from 2017-2023, as I focused on newly adopted and foster children in my care. I’m so thankful to be back to homeschool resource teaching, and I absolutely love the Generations community!
Brittany Robertson I currently live in historic down town Covington with my husband and our three children. I work as a professional cake decorator & baker. I attended Gainesville State College for Early Childhood education, and put myself through college working in daycares and preschools. I took time off from the work force because I felt a strong calling to stay home with my children while they were toddlers. Working in my own home allowed me to develop a knack for home baking, gardening, & canning. I did eventually return to education in a part time capacity as a long term substitute teacher in Barrow county. After Covid impacted life as we knew it, I decided to homeschool my children and I’ve never looked back. I’m thrilled to share my passion and creativity in the classroom at Generations.
Chelsea Snell I’ve been married to my husband, Trey, for 14 years. We have three boys: Weston (10), Connor (7), and Logan (5). We love Generations Homeschool Community, from the amazing staff to the sweet families we get to call friends. The 2024-2025 will be our family's 5th year attending and my second year teaching at the co-op. I look forward to teaching Fins, Feathers, & Fur and Music & Movement. Helping children find joy in learning is one of the most fulfilling experiences as a teacher. I have a degree in Child and Family Development from UGA and previous experience teaching at Primrose School of Five Forks and Madison First United Methodist Church Preschool. I currently enjoy serving on Sundays as a preschool hall coordinator at our church (Athens Church). I also enjoy reading, playing the piano, and going on adventures with my boys!
Marissa Toney I love the Lord and His Word. I am a proud wife to my husband, DT. We’re blessed with two wonderful children, Tia and Kairos. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Berry College and a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Georgia. I have had the privilege of teaching in both public and private schools. I’m currently thrilled to be working as a strength and conditioning coach at D1 Training. My passion for fitness and my desire to help others grow in their faith help fuel my day.
Stephanie Walsh We've been part of the Generations Community for the past 4 years and I have taught for three of those. I've been married to Kevin for 10 years and we have 2 boys attending Generations, Thaddeus (9) and Bennett (5). Prior to Generations, we lived in Chicago where I earned my degree in Secondary Education & History with endorsements in science and teaching English as a second language. I taught middle school history for several years in Chicago while working toward a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. In the middle of all this, we decided to move south to live near family and raise our children outside of the school system. We attend Bethlehem Church and I enjoy participating in bible study, gardening, creating things, giving my husband tasks he did not ask for, and watching the shenanigans of my boys. This year I am teaching US Geography, Hands on History, Countries and Cultures, Build It, and Apologia Biology.
Melanie Wilson I teach the Pre-ballet and Ballet Essentials classes. I have taught ballet for 3 years, and I have danced myself for 19 years and counting. I teach mainly in the Cecchetti style, covering as many of the basics as I can, and incorporate a lot of classical music and fun things I remember from when I was a young student. I look forward to this coming year, and hope to have many young ballerinas grow to love ballet as much as I do!
