LEADERSHIP
Shelly Mauldin, Owner & Campus Site Director:
Shelly has a bachelors and master's degree in early childhood education. She taught at a local preschool for two years and then in Oconee County for 12 years. The Mauldins were a part of the Summit Academy program for 8 years, with Shelly teaching for 7 years and directing the Summit Oconee campus for 4 years before opening Generations. She brings her knowledge of curriculum, planning and leadership to our community. Shelly loves encouraging and supporting families who have chosen to homeschool. The Mauldins are active members of Beech Haven Church in Athens, GA.
Lindsey Cavin, Assistant Site Director:
Lindsey's professional career started with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where she met her husband, Aaron Cavin. She holds a masters degree in social work. Before staying home with their children, Lindsey worked as a school counselor at Clarke Middle School. She and Aaron were foster parents for many years and have 5 children. Lindsey shares a passion for homeschooling and discipling her children. She has a heart for helping kids and families navigate challenges and hardships. She's an excellent listener and gives great advice. The Cavins are active members of Calvary Bible Church in Athens, GA.
Bethabara Baptist Church
Bethabara Baptist Church is a sweet fellowship of believers. We partner with the church for Operation Christmas Child collections at Christmas time and volunteer during their summer Vacation Bible School. Although we are not a ministry of their church, we are "on mission" together to serve the body of Christ and to make Jesus known! If you don't have a church home, consider visiting one Sunday.
