Class Description: Let’s learn about God’s universe! From gas giants and moon phases to satellites and the Space Race, this class will venture from rockets all the way to Pluto! Students will learn about astronaut life, gravity, and stars. Each class will cover pertinent information using various methods of delivery. Hands-on models, graphic organizers, and other tangible creations will make this class engaging. Students will keep a structured 3 ring binder.

Class Description: Exploring Creation with Biology is a college-prep biology course that provides a detailed introduction to the methods and concepts of general biology. Every class will include module review, discussion, lab and an assessment. Students will need access to Google Classroom for tests, quizzes, grades, and discussion prompts. This is a class period + 30 minute lab, that is offered from 2:00-3:20.

Class Description:
Where does our food come from? How is it raised, grown, processed, and delivered to our grocery stores? How has food production changed over time? What does GMO and organic mean? These are just some questions that will be explored in class. From seeds to corn, chicks to eggs, and calves to beef, students will learn terms like pasteurization, horticulture, fertilizer, and pesticides. We will discuss soil composition and the food chain. Farm to Table is a practical class that merges real science with the food we eat every day!

EXPLORING CREATION WITH GENERAL SCIENCE LAB

Class Description: Students will learn to see God's hand in all of life as they learn about the world He made; they will also read testimonies from modern-day scientists who interpret data through a Christian worldview. We will study a wide range of topics including the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, geology, archaeology, biology, and more, with a large focus on Earth Science. Class time will consist of a very brief overview of the experiment/lab concepts we will perform each week along with the hands-on experiments and activities giving students practical experience as they discover the principles behind science and learn how to record and report data.
Homework: Yes. A work schedule will be offered for students to follow along as they complete the reading and written textbook assignments on their own at home. This is a lab class only. Allow for 2-3 days of homework- 1 hour each day. (Students are required to complete home assignments in accordance with our lab class schedule.)
