ADVANCED ART & DESIGN

Class Description: Refine your artistic skills in this upper-grades art class, where we will explore drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art. Students will experiment with digital design tools and AI technology to enhance the work while developing a strong foundation in fine art techniques. The course emphasizes personal creativity, technique, and observation that will guide projects & build artistic confidence. Students will be encouraged each week to build a habit of sketchbooking/journaling and observing the world around them.

ART CLASS

Class Description: Learn to see our world with the eye of an artist. Through each project students will get to express their ideas with new techniques and mediums. Students will complete many finished pieces using a wide variety of quality materials and expand their artistic vocabulary through the year. Projects will cover a wide range of themes from historical art studies to fun & whimsical subjects.

ART NATURE STUDY

Grade Range: 3rd-6th

Class Description: Create through the seasons with nature inspired art lessons and projects. Each week will focus on a theme engaging students into the natural world around them while learning new art techniques with watercolor & more. Students will really have an opportunity to become confident in their drawings. We will finish the year with a collection of watercolor studies and some final pieces. My hope is for them to pick up a new love of watercolor painting, drawing, and keeping a sketchbook.

Class Description:  Let’s create, innovate, and build by learning craftsman skills like planning, measuring, nailing, knot tying and more! Come create a hand-made bow and arrow, bookends, personalized nail art, a book nook, a bee hotel, and a personalized 2x4 challenge.  We will also be building with items like Legos, Knex, and other STEM items in between large projects!

YOUNG BAKERS' WORKSHOP

Class Description: Welcome to Young Bakers’ Workshop, a hands-on baking & cake decorating class designed to teach children aged 8 and up the fundamental skills of baking. From warm, fresh bread to delicious pies, cakes, cookies, and other baked treats, students will learn essential techniques for creating a variety of baked goods from scratch. In this engaging and interactive class, young bakers will explore: baking basics, decorating techniques, kitchen safety & hygiene, weight and measurement. Each lesson will include hands-on baking activities, step-by-step demonstrations, and fun challenges to encourage creativity and confidence in the kitchen. By the end of the course, students will have a collection of recipes, improved baking skills, and a love for making homemade treats!
